Join us in gorgeous Newport Beach for the Spring Board Meeting February 9-10 at the reinvented VEA Newport Beach, a Marriott Resort & Spa. We’ll discuss priorities for the year ahead and share updates on advocacy efforts, committee work, strategic plan, upcoming events, and more. We'll also share plans for Tourism Advocacy Day 2023.
Board meetings are free, open to all members, and a great way to stay informed and connected all year round. We hope to see you there!

From 4 to 5 PM on February 9, please join us for a wine reception, open to all, honoring recently retired U. S. Travel CEO Roger Dow.
Following the reception is a special PAC fund-raising dinner at the Resort at Pelican Hill. We will give him a true "California Sendoff" to thank him for all he has done for the tourism industry during his 17-year tenure. Enjoy dinner, drinks, ocean views, and the company of industry friends. Tickets are $200 per person and proceeds will benefit the CalTravel PAC, unless you tell us otherwise.

From 3 to 4 PM on February 9, CalTravel’s Attractions and Experiences Committee invites all attendees to hear special guest speaker Garner Holt, founder and president of Garner Holt Productions, the world’s leading manufacturer of theme park animatronics. He will share how he found his unique passion for the attractions industry, built a world-class business with the skills he honed, and is now giving back through The Garner Holt Foundation, which provides students with opportunities to explore career paths in the creative and technical industries.
