EVENT OVERVIEW
Join us in the heart of Silicon Valley for the Summer Board & Member Meetings July 13-14 at the new Signia Hotel. We’ll introduce the new leadership slate; share results from Tourism Advocacy Day; conduct a panel discussion on the importance of arts and culture in destination recovery; meet in committees; and provide updates on advocacy efforts, upcoming events, and more.
Board meetings are free, open to all members, and a great way to stay informed and connected all year round. We hope to see you there!
DAY 1 - WEDNESDAY, JULY 13
We’ll kick off committee meetings and special sessions at 9:00AM. All are welcome to attend the committee meetings for Ambassadors, DEI, Auction, Communications, Attractions & Experiences, Homelessness, and Cannabis Tourism. Attendees may ask to observe the GRC meeting. Plus, be sure to catch the panel discussion on the importance of arts and culture in destination recovery.
At 5:00PM, join us for a very special PAC evening—dinner and a show!
Dinner is at Petiscos, the new restaurant launched by the owners and chefs of Adega, which according to Time Out is “the most ambitious, elegant Portuguese restaurant on the West Coast”. Adega is the only San Jose restaurant with a Michelin star, and the only Portuguese restaurant in the U.S. to be recognized with a Michelin star. Owner Carlos Carriera will personally curate Portuguese wines to pair with their award-winning preparations of octopus, codfish, linguica, chorizo, and more.
After dinner, we'll make our way down the street to the Center for Performing Arts, where we'll catch a show by Broadway San Jose.
Come From Away, a breathtaking new Broadway musical getting rave reviews, is about the remarkable true story of 7,000 stranded airline passengers on 9/11 and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them.

DAY 2 - THURSDAY, JULY 14
Gather in the ballroom at 7:30AM to grab a quick bite to eat and mingle with industry friends before the board meeting begins. The board meeting will begin at 8:00AM. We’ll introduce the new leadership slate; share results from Tourism Advocacy Day; and provide updates on advocacy efforts, upcoming events, and more.
Plus, Jed Mettee, Executive Vice President for the San Jose Earthquakes, will join us to speak about the state of the team, the role it plays in the community and tourism, effects of COVID, exciting World Cup news, and other plans for the future.
