WHAT IS IT?

Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving back. Our first-ever Giving Tuesday will focus on raising money to expand our scholarship programs, which are funded by the CalTravel Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation with a mission to ensure the long-term viability of the travel and tourism industry. All gifts are tax deductible.

WHY SHOULD I GIVE?

It’s an investment in our future leaders. Every dollar raised will go toward a scholarship for a college student pursuing a career in travel, tourism, or hospitality at a California university. We know how important it is to engage these students early on, to keep them excited about the path they’ve chosen, immerse them in the industry, and help them build connections as they prepare to enter the workforce.

 

Mike Gallagher Summit Scholarships

Mike Gallagher scholarships allow students to experience our annual CalTravel Summit, where the industry comes together to learn, get inspired, and network. Thanks to our generous supporters, we were able to double the number of Summit scholarships awarded last year.

 
 

Patti MacJennett Tourism Advocacy Days Scholarships

Starting in 2026, Patti MacJennett scholarships will allow students to participate in our annual Tourism Advocacy Days, where the industry unites to meet with legislators and reinforce the importance of tourism. This new program will ensure students understand the core of our work—advocacy.

HOW MUCH DO YOU NEED?

Even small gifts can make a big impact. While a typical scholarship costs $2,000-$2,500, we’d be grateful for any amount you’re willing to contribute to our cause.

WHO CAN GIVE?

Anyone can give. Organizations, individuals, and other foundations are all allowed to make tax-deductible charitable contributions to the Foundation.

 

HOW ELSE CAN I HELP?
